“be able to” 是“能够”的意思。
82. For a single room the price would be 35 dollars单人房的价格是35美元。
报房价时最好用美元,我们酒店一般用人民币,你可以事先算好房价,然后告诉客人。例如:The single room is 398 Yuan per night. It’s about 50 US dollars.
83. Is there any reduction for children? 儿童可以减价吗?
很多地方对儿童都有优惠政策,客人带了小孩来旅游会比较关心这一点,如果房价不能优惠就把餐厅的优惠政策介绍给客人,以免客人失望,同时又能向客人推销我们的餐厅。所谓的服务意识、销售意识就是你要把服务、销售时刻记在心里,一有机会就展示出来。可以用这句话来表达:Sorry we don’t have reduction for children on room rate, but our western restaurant have 40% discount for children.(对不起,我们的房价没有给儿童特别优惠,但是在我们的西餐厅儿童可以享受6折优惠。)
84. Could you fill in this form, please? 请填写这份表格好吗?
大部分的表格都是我们帮客人填写,有些特殊情况需要客人自己填写。还可以说:Would you please complete this registration form? 请您填写这张登记表好吗?
85. Could you sign your name, please? 请签上您的姓名。
很多地方需要客人签名,还可以说:Would you please sign here?
86. May I see your passport, please? We need it for registration. 请把护照给我看一下好吗?我们登记时需要。
外宾一般用护照,(我们平时用的身份证,英语单词是Identification Card)入住时需要检查并填写登记单。一定要注意语气,不要生硬地说:Give me your passport, please.
87. What’s your nationality, please? 请问您的国籍?
护照的封面都写着国籍,如果你看不懂,可以问一下客人。但是关于客人的职业(occupation)等一般不需要问。
88. Your room number is 2068 on the second floor.您的房间号码是二楼的2068房。
告诉客人房号后,后面还应加一句话:The bellboy will show you to your room, enjoy your stay with us.(礼宾员会带您去房间,希望您住得愉快。)
89. Here’s your key card. 这是您的门卡。
把物品递给客人时要向客人说明你递交的物品是什么。一般应将门卡交给礼宾员,由礼宾员带领客人上房间。
90. I’ll get the bellboy to take your luggage up.我会叫行李员把您的行李搬上去。
让客人不要担心他的行李你会安排妥当。还可以说:The bellman here will take your luggage and show you the way.
91. We’ll extend the reservation for you.我们可以为您延长预订。
客人不仅延长预订,还经常延长住房(extend one’s stay)。
92. We’ll make the change for you.我们可以给您换个房间。
假如客人提出换房,你能答应客人的要求,你就可以用这句话。假如你主动提出换房,首先要告诉客人原因,然后征求客人的意见:May I change the room for you?
93. You may keep the room till 2 pm, if you wish. 如果您愿意,可以将房间保留到下午2点。
经常会碰到客人要求延长退房时间的要求,在住房不紧张的情况下一般都可以给客人免费延长到下午2点退房。如果需要可以向客人解释一下酒店关于退房时间的规定:According to hotel regulations, the check out time is 12:00. If you leave after 2:00pm, you have to pay half of the day’s rent. If you leave after 6 pm, you have to pay the full rent.酒店规定,退房时间是中午十二点,如果二点以后走,您需要加付半天房租;如果晚六点以后走,您就需要加付一天的房租。
94. I wonder if it is possible for me to extend my stay at this hotel for two days.我想知道是否可以让我在这儿多呆两天。
你可以问客人:How much longer would like to stay? (您想再住多久?)然后再查一下电脑:I’ll take a look at the hotel’s booking situation.(我来查看一下本店房间的预订情况。)假如可以就说:I’m glad that we’ll be able to accept your extension request.(我们很高兴可以接受您延长住宿的要求。)假如需要换房就说:But I’m afraid that it will be necessary for us to ask you to change rooms for the last two nights.(不过,恐怕最后两天我们得请您搬到别的房间去。) 最好要告诉客人为什么要换房:We have already booked your room to another gentleman.我们已经把您住的房间订给了另外一位先生。
95. Would you like to vacate your room now? 您现在要退房吗?
还可以说:Would you like to check out now?
96. Your bill totals $665.您的帐单合计655美元。
还可以说:That makes a total of $665. 或者That comes to $665 altogether.
97. Here is your bill. Would you please check it? 这是您的账单,请您过目。
账单打好后首先请客人检查,客人如有疑问要解释清楚。例如客人对其中一笔费用不清楚,你可以告诉客人这笔费用是哪方面的:That charge is for drinks taken from the mini-bar. (那笔钱是您从房间冰箱里取用饮料的费用。)Your overseas telephone call is included in the bill. (您的国际长途电话费用包括在这个账单里。)The service charge is included in this bill.(这个账单包括报务费。)
98. How would you like to settle your bill (or account)? 您准备以何种方式付账?
还可以说:In what form will payment be made? 最好让客人选择:Are you going to pay in cash or by credit card?(您准备用现金还是信用卡付款?)假如客人问我们接受什么信用卡,可以说:We accept the following credit cards, Visa, Master…(我们可以接受维萨信用卡,万事达卡…) 假如客人想用个人支票支付就说: I’m sorry, we don’t accept personal check. But we can accept traveler’s check. (对不起,我们不接受个人支票,但我们可以接受旅行支票。)
99. All lf the rooms have phones.
所有房间都有电话。
